Communications Director of Africa Fashion Week London, Yetty Ogunnubi revealed to GhanaGist.Com the reasons for making Victoria Michaels as one of the brand ambassadors for this year’s event.
“I’m here to introduce Victoria Michaels as one of our brand ambassadors for this year’s event. The reason why we chose Victoria Michaels is because; she is passionate about the Africa fashion industry as well as made in Africa products and we felt like she is the best person to push the made in Africa products out [in London] there. That means Africa fashion designers and models,” she told GhanaGist.Com
In an exclusive interview with GhanaGist.Com, Victoria Michaels said she was excited.
“I’m actually very excited to be appointed as brand ambassador for Africa Fashion Week London. It’s a humbly experience for me. It’s actually a platform that is meant to expose the talents, creatives that we have here in Africa. In Ghana and Nigeria especially because this are countries that I’m passionate about.
She hopes to use the platform to help create opportunities for African designers and models from Ghana and Nigeria.
“I hope to use this platform to project the Victoria Michaels brand and secondly to also create opportunities for designers and models who would like to go to this part [London] of the world.
