On June 26, 2015, MultiChoice Ghana donated GHC20, 000 to the Ghana Disaster Relief Fund to aid them provide supplies and help to the June 3 flood and rain disaster victims.
The Ghana Disaster Relief Fund, made up of well-meaning Ghanaians in and outside Ghana, is leading a crowd funding campaign to raise a target of 40,000 GHS to provide medical supplies for victims of the June 3rd rain and fire tragedy. The group is working closely with the ICU department of the 37 Military Hospital, donating medicines and medical essentials to keep many of those there alive.

The group, had as of June 18, 2015, raised GHC22, 000 of its intended GHC 40,000 and the donation from MultiChoice Ghana enabled the fund to reach and go over its target.
“There is an immediate need to provide emergency medical supplies for the victims of the June 3 disaster,” said Mr. Cecil Sunkwa-Mill, General Manager of MultiChoice Ghana. “We chose GDRF because of its transparent and direct approach to helping victims at the ICU of the hospital. We commend its leadership for this and for their dedicated desire to help fellow Ghanaians in need” “We are pleased to do whatever we can to make sure these victims get back on their feet as quickly as possible”, he added.

The group is actively involved in social philanthropy and community reinvestment; it actively supports the Young Educators Foundation with its annual Spelling Bee and has for the last several years supported 73 Ghanaian schools with their educational bouquet to aid in audio-visual teaching and learning.
